Position: Junior Graphic Designer
Location: Remote
Hours: 15–20 hours per month
Compensation: $25 - $27/hr

About the Role:

Summerfield Studio is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join our small, collaborative team! This part-time role (15–20 hours/month) is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience with client-facing design work and social media ad graphics while contributing to the creative growth of the studio itself.

You'll design high-quality visuals using both Canva and the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and assist with light website updates using Squarespace. You’ll primarily support client work (with a focus on LinkedIn ad graphics), but will also help create and assist with internal studio projects as needed.

This is a great opportunity for a designer who is excited about graphic design, brand-building, digital marketing, and growing alongside a creative studio.

This role is 100% remote, and you can be based anywhere in the U.S. (or beyond!). We stay connected through Slack and use consistent check-ins to stay on track. You’ll be looped in through Asana for project management, and we encourage open communication, creative thinking, and initiative.

BIG bonus if you're confident working in Squarespace and interested in helping shape website templates and visual systems.

Responsibilities:

Use client’s brand guidelines to design social media graphics and advertisements (LinkedIn ads) for clients
Assist with brand collateral and creative assets for Summerfield Studio
Support in updating Squarespace websites
Collaborate with the founder on creative direction and project execution
Ensure visual consistency and alignment with client branding
Meet deadlines and deliver polished, thoughtful work
Track progress in our project management system, Asana

Who You Are:

Detail-Oriented: You have an eye for consistency, alignment, and visual polish
Tech-Savvy: You’ve worked in Canva, Adobe Suite, Google Drive, Asana, Slack, and ideally Squarespace
Creative & Curious: You’re passionate about great design and eager to grow
Independent but Collaborative: You can manage your time and tasks, but love working with others to bring ideas to life
Flexible: You’re available for 15–20 hours/month and can adapt as the role evolves
Reliable: You take ownership of your work and communicate clearly and timely
